This project will last up to 3 months. The area involved will be route 115 from Brown Street to a tie in point approximately 1,000 feet East of the Weeks Hill tank location. Work from the tank to Brown Street will relocate existing residential services to a new 12-inch service line already in place and replace the undersized line on Beehive drive. Work going East from the tank will replace a failing section of old main and complete the tie-in to the main installed under the McKin settlement.

The Project has been awarded to Bowdoin Excavation Company and has been coordinated with the Public Works Department to begin in the Spring after snow plowing season. Traffic control will be by flaggers and/or automated traffic signals as needed for the active phase of construction.

Gravel pit operators are being notified and requested to schedule accordingly and seek alternate routes if possible.

On completion, all route 115 customers, including several new developments, will be served by a larger, more reliable 12-inch service line.
